How do I clean a recording?

1. Choose a source

Select a supported audio or video file. The browser checks the file before processing and does not silently replace it with a cloud upload.

2. Hear a short preview

Choose the preview start with the slider, sign in when prompted, and compare up to 30 seconds of Original and Cleaned at the same playback position.

3. Review the real result

Listen for speech clarity, consonants, sentence endings, sync, and changing conditions—not only a lower noise floor.

4. Process and download

If the preview is useful, use account minutes for the full file. Usage finalizes only when a result is ready; downloading the result does not consume more minutes.

Which sounds can noise reduction help with?

NoiseVanish is best suited to steady fan or air-conditioning wash, persistent hum or hiss, traffic beds, and some wind around spoken audio. Sudden impacts, overlapping voices, severe clipping, music, or strong room echo may need targeted editing, another source, or rerecording.

Which cleanup, volume and export settings should I choose?

Start with Natural. Compare Balanced or Strong on the same words if more steady noise remains; stronger cleanup may change voice texture. Keep cleaned volume preserves the recording’s level, while Clean & Level targets -16 LUFS with peak protection. Even Voice also smooths volume changes. Peaks and quiet sources can limit the target.

Audio can export as 48 kHz, 16-bit WAV for editing or compact M4A/Ogg for sharing, depending on supported codecs. Video cleanup copies the picture stream and replaces the audio. Review synchronization and save your own download.

For several recordings, batch cleanup uses shared settings across up to eight files. Keep the tab open until the results are ready. Account recent files may retain copies in this browser for up to 7 days, but availability is not guaranteed.

How do I know whether the result is better?

Compare the same passage at matched volume. Check an ordinary sentence, the most difficult overlap, a pause, soft consonants, and the ending. For video, confirm lip sync and review the picture with the cleaned track. Stop when speech becomes metallic, watery, hollow, clipped, or harder to understand.

Try a video preview, try an audio preview, or review pricing and file limits.

What should I check before downloading?

  1. Keep the untouched original and choose a moment containing speech and noise.
  2. Compare the same words at a similar listening volume; check quiet endings and consonants.
  3. Use the lightest cleanup that helps. Stop if words disappear or sound metallic.
  4. For video, check synchronization at the beginning, middle and end. Download your own backup.
