KEEP THE WORDS. QUIET THE ROOM.

Remove Fan Noise from Audio Online

A fan can leave a constant wash behind a good take. Preview a moment of your recording to hear whether cleanup helps without thinning the voice.

WHAT TO EXPECT

A preview answers the useful question.

NoiseVanish is designed for steady noise around speech. Use a segment that includes your voice and the fan, compare the same moment before and after, and choose a strength that leaves words easy to follow. Results depend on how much noise overlaps the voice.

Constant fan wash

A fairly consistent background behind a spoken recording is a sensible starting point. Include some speech in the preview rather than judging a noise-only pause.

Changing speed or close microphone wind

A changing fan, air striking the microphone or rattling can behave differently from a steady noise bed. Preview the loudest section as well as a quieter one.

Speech already covered by noise

Cleanup may reduce the surrounding wash without recovering every word. Stronger settings can change consonants and voice texture; use Natural when those details matter.

A REPRESENTATIVE COMPARISON

To Sherlock Holmes she is always the woman. I have seldom heard him mention her under any other name. In his eyes she eclipses and predominates the whole of her sex.

Three steps to a result you can judge.

  1. Choose your recording and locate a moment with fan noise and speech.

  2. Compare Natural, Balanced or Strong in separate previews; use the same words for each listening decision.

  3. Process the full file when satisfied, then check later passages where the fan or speaking level changes.

Listen to soft word endings and breaths. A silent pause is not enough evidence of a useful result. Avoid automatically amplifying a noisy source before you have compared cleanup.

Supported formats and file limits

MP3, WAV, M4A, MP4, MOV and WEBM. A supported extension still needs readable media tracks and compatible codecs.

Free preview sources: up to 10 minutes / 200 MB. Paid desktop files: up to 60 minutes / 1 GB; phones and tablets: up to 30 minutes / 500 MB. Available memory, codecs and storage can lower the practical limit.

Questions about this recording

Will the fan disappear completely?

Complete removal is not promised. Noise may remain where it overlaps speech, and stronger cleanup can affect the voice. Judge the tradeoff in your own preview.

Which strength should I choose?

Balanced is the starting setting. Try Natural if speech sounds hollow or harder to follow; try Strong if too much steady wash remains and the voice still sounds acceptable.

Can I clean several takes?

The batch queue handles up to eight supported files with shared settings. Preview a representative take first; batch tasks use full-file account minutes.
